When we get to be 50 or 60 years old, there comes a point when a lot of us size up our friends and wonder: if we’re the same age, how do they look so young?
In truth, some of it’s luck. Some of it’s genetics. In a lot of cases, though, it’s because they made the choice that time shouldn’t dictate the terms of their life.
Renuance Cosmetic Surgery Center gives you the choice to look the way that you feel at any age. We perform facelift surgery for Riverside County patients to reverse facial aging, rejuvenating their appearance by about ten years.
What could you do with another ten years of physical youth? How might it change the way you approach your relationships, your career, and your social interactions?
These are the types of questions that often lead patients to our practice. If you’d like to find out the answers, explore a facelift with Renuance.
How We Approach Facelift Surgery
Renuance surgeons are Board Certified Plastic Surgeons with extensive experience in facelift procedures. We have spent years supporting Riverside County patients with treatment that focuses on their personal aesthetic goals.
When you have a facelift with Renuance, your doctor will prioritize a natural and attractive-looking outcome. The best results from this surgery don’t change the way patients look but rather revert their features to a younger state.
Privacy in your treatment is one of our highest values, and signs of your surgery will be well hidden. A lot of our patients receive compliments from friends and family who attribute their physical change to working out, a new hairstyle, or resting up over vacation.
Finally, Renuance surgeons combine techniques to improve patient outcomes. There are certain features of the face, such as lines around the mouth and hollows beneath the eyes, that a facelift will not improve. Along with surgery, your doctor may draw a small amount of fat and moving it to these areas to give you a natural, firm, and smooth appearance.
Your Options with a Facelift
Most of our Riverside County patients begin with a phone conversation. This is a good opportunity to talk about how facelift surgery works and the financial aspects of treatment.
Next, you will have an in-person consultation with your Renuance surgeon. During your visit, your doctor will talk with you about the features you want to change and how you’d like to look after your facelift. We recommend that you bring in pictures that reflect the results you want to achieve. You can also spend time reviewing before-and-after photos on our website.
Generally, facelift surgery will improve some or all of the following when combined with fat grafting:
- Facial lines and wrinkles (rhytids).
- Hollowing beneath the eyes.
- Flattening of the cheeks.
- Jowling and “turkey neck.”
Some Riverside County patients will tell us that there are only one or two areas that bother them, such as their neck or jawline. In these cases, the surgeon may be able to perform a more focused (“mini”) facelift procedure.
Your Experience with Facelift Surgery
Your consultation, surgery, and follow-up visits will all take place at Renuance. Our practice offers a nationally accredited surgical suite certified by AAAASF. Our investment in this facility means that we can offer you many of the resources of a hospital in a private setting.
You will receive general anesthesia before the facelift procedure, which should take 3-4 hours. A responsible adult will be able to drive you home about one hour after the surgery concludes. Most patients will have a drain to limit swelling, which their doctor will remove at an office visit the next morning.
The incisions your Renuance surgeon makes will be very well hidden. During the first week after your facelift, you will take pain medications to manage your comfort and need someone to drive you. Sutures typically come out at the end of this week. You may wear makeup and sunglasses if you want to go out, though many of our Riverside County patients will wait two weeks so that swelling and bruising go down.
At this point, you should see a big difference in your appearance. Depending on your surgery, your cheeks will be fuller, you should have a more defined jawline and smoother neck, and the wrinkles that aged your face should be softened. You can also expect that the next time friends get together, they’ll be wondering: how do you look so young?
- What Parts of the Face Does a Facelift Correct?
Facelifts are designed to address signs of aging on the mid and lower face, as well as the neck. Problems a facelift may correct include jowls – which occur when the cheeks hang below the jawline – lost volume in the cheeks, platysmal bands, and turkey necks.
- How Visible Are Scars After a Facelift?
Our doctors make every effort to disguise your facelift incisions in your hairline. Even with your hair pulled up, nobody should notice your facelift scars. Our doctors’ goal is to make you look more youthful and like the best version of you by providing natural results without telltale signs that you’ve had work done.
