As we age, the tissue around our eyes begins lose firmness as excess skin builds up, resulting in a tired, older appearance. Dr. Brian Eichenberg can correct this issue by performing an eyelid lift, or blepharoplasty. Although this procedure affects only the eye area, it can make a big difference for the whole face.
An eyelid lift can be performed under local anesthesia with intravenous sedation or under general anesthesia. The procedure is performed as an outpatient surgery, allowing you to go home afterwards. For a week after eyelid surgery, your tissues will be healing and might still have some lingering swelling or bruising.
If you are unsure which options are right for you, please feel free to contact us at our office. Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Eichenberg will examine your condition and listen to your goals in order to make the right recommendations regarding the eyelid lift.
